Kennedy Space Center

Thursday, April 7, 2016  We took an Uber cab to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The building we sailed past on Tuesday, that I thought was the Kennedy Space Center, is not. It is actually the Vehicle Assembly Building, seen below.

Vehicle Assembly Building, it has the biggest doors of any building in the world.

Launch Pad 39A, where Apollo and space shuttle flights began.

Crawler moves the rockets from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launching pad.

Original command center for the lunar missions 1969-72.

Too big to get into one photo, the front of the last space shuttle, Atlantis.
