Patrick Air Force Base/Merritt Island

This map shows Vero Beach, where we started, and the red pin is where we are now.
The blue dot represents where we were in real time when I took the screen shot.

Friday, April 1st, we left Vero Beach and cruised to Patrick Air Force Base. More of the same, lovely homes with docks. We ran into some water that was about 3 feet deep, (it's always a little deeper than it says), since our draft is four feet, we had to put it in neutral, but we got through it without running aground. In boat talk, that's called "skinny water".

Now we are in the marina at Patrick Air Force Base.
They have a marina clubhouse and a Tiki Bar that is full of retirees and people stationed here.

Our boat from the Tiki Bar.

Every Friday night they have a little ceremony where they toast to those who have served.

Robbie's first cousin, his mom's sister's daughter, Cozette,
lives on Merritt Island, so we got to catch up with her and met two of her grandchildren.

                                                 Another beautiful sunset last night.
